Giant Pressure

4th July 2020. The Giants let go 3 guys who were considered the face of the Giants. Callum Jones, James Jones and Ingus Bankevics. Fans were confused, as every year it was a given that they would be suiting up in green. This time round, it was not the case.

After Jamie Edwards took over the Manchester side in January, things were bound to change. This was one of those changes. Weeks later, fans find out they'll be watching their team play at Belle Vue, National Basketball Performance Centre, arguably one of the best arenas in the country. This creates pressure. After being the whipping boys of the league for many years, fans want more from the franchise, sooner rather than later.

The Manchester Giants have now announced their full roster going into the 2nd October.

All eyes will be on the giants this season, fairly or unfairly, fans around the league will be quick to give the Giants critiscm. If the giants can make a run at the playoffs, then im sure some critics will start to silence after the winless season the Manchester Giants had last season.

There isn't long to wait now though, 2nd October and the BBL Cup returns.
