Off-season review.

We all know this time of year, the busiest time for everyone. For fans , wondering where their favourite player will go and whether they will be returning for the season.

Well, lets take a look at everyone's off-season so far!

Bristol Flyers:

The Flyers off-season has just been bringing guys back so far, and to be fair, given they were in the playoffs last season, you cant blame them bringing back the core.

INS:

Daniel Edozie

Marcus Delpeche

Raphell Thomas-Edwards

Josh Rogers

Liam Davis

Bristol still seem to be keeping that presence in the paint with Delpeche and Edozie, the interesting one so far will be Davis joining the side after being out on loan to Reading Rockets in D1 who averaged 16ppg 8.3rebs for the rockets.

Cheshire Phoenix:

Cheshires off-season has been fairly busy so far given they have added to the roster and also brought back a couple guys, given they finished the season in the 6th seed (7-6) its fair enough.

INS:

Jalen Hayes

Kahron Ross

Pahroh Gordon

OUTS:

Parker Jackson-Cartwright

Louis Sayers

Kahron Ross is going to have big shoes to fill this season , as he is the replacement for star Point Guard, Jackson-Cartwright. I'm sure the re-signing of Jalen Hayes will please the fans of Cheshire.

Glasgow Rocks:

The Rocks off-season has been a weird, yet interesting one. Given pre COVID they were the table toppers you'd expect the rocks to try and bring back the core of the roster. That was not the case. It came out that Coach Lavandier, Ali Fraser, Greg Pryor and Maxime Djo Ebala all moved over to France. Lavandier leaving was reportedly Glasgow trying to free up money, which could be the case for the other guys.

INS:

Gareth Murray (Player Coach)

Fraser Malcom

David Mpondo

Isa Brandon

Marc Kwedi

Julius Van Sauers

OUTS:

Vincent Lavandier

Greg Pryor

Ali Fraser

Maxime Djo Ebala

Leicester Riders:

Leicester have been quiet in comparison to their usual selves this year round, the big news in the riders camp was the return of Elite British Guard, Conner Washington. The return of Jamell Anderson is good news for Leicester Riders fans. Jesse Chuku has left the riders as he isn't taking a year off basketball due to pre existing injuries.

INS:

Conner Washington

Jamell Anderson

Darien Nelson - Henry

Corey Johnson

OUTS:

Jesse Chuku

Josh Ward-Hibbert

London Lions:

Since the off-season began, the London Lions have been busy, from getting accepted into the Basketball Champions League to all the signings they have announced, they are looking like a force this year. The Lions signing a former NBA player and G-League champion will be scary for the other 10 teams in the league. Listen to me catch up with coach Vince Macaulay to hear his opinion on the acceptance into the BCL - https://open.spotify.com/episode/5AQumt7eSibinzo7FerbDu

INS:

DeAndre Liggins

Justin Robinson

Joe Ikhinmwin

Andre Lockhart

Ed Lucas

Dirk Williams

Kervin Bristol

OUTS:

Ovie Soko

Manchester Giants:

The Giants have had a surprisingly busy off-season so far, for a few reasons. One being them letting Callum Jones, James Jones and Ingus Bankevics all walk, another being that they have moved into Belle Vue, the National Basketball Performance Centre after spending two seasons in the small George H Carnall. The final one, them bringing

back Jordan Whelan and bringing NBA summer League participant Lyle Hexom into the fold. Whelan had a short stint in Manchester 3 seasons ago.

INS:

Jordan Whelan

Jack Hudson

Lyle Hexom

OUTS:

Callum Jones

James Jones

Ingus Bankevics

Newcastle Eagles:

So far there hasn't been anything regarding the Newcastle Eagles, stay tuned Eagles fans.

Plymouth Raiders:

Plymouth have been quiet as well. Josh Wilcher requested to leave the Devon based basketball club. However, there has been a rumour swirling that Andrew Lawrence could be joining the side given he was pictured with Will Neighbour which could be the reason fort Josh Wilcher not wanting to stay, but that's it so far Plymouth fans.

OUTS:

Josh Wilcher

Isa Brandon

Sheffield Sharks:

Sheffield have been one of the busiest sides this off-season looking like they will be strong team like every year. The biggest surprise of the off-season was the recent news that former Manchester Giants captain has travelled over and joined the Sheffield outfit. Sheffield also announced that Mike Tuck will be returning as Sheffield captain for his 12th season as a shark.

INS:

Mike Tuck

Nicholas Lewis

Mackey McKnight

Callum Jones

Rob Marsden

Kipper Nichols - yet to be announced by the club.

Surrey Scorchers:

There has been no news so far from the scorchers camp, however, yesterday it was announced on their website that they are back as scorchers staff have returned from furlough, and that they will be making player announcements in the coming weeks.

Worcester Wolves:

Alongside Newcastle, Worcester haven't said anything regarding player news, hopefully something comes out soon.
